I didnt see a thread like this so figured I'd kick it off.

This is chicken fried rice with Pot de Creme. I'm cooking my way through the Better Homes and Garden's cookbook, and the Pot de Creme is exactly what it sounds like. A pot of chocolate cream. It was intense and probably very terrible for me. It's like a cross between pudding and mousse.

I am considering baking a sweet potato. Since it is just me, I rarely cook. - except breakfasts for guests. I do a lot of eggs because they are a cheap meal and full of proteins and I can make them differently - eggs with sour cream and then add different herbs, different cheeses, vegetables if I have them, and sauces - BBQ or lately I have been adding some of the maple mustard my maple syrup people make - it is awesome and I am NOT a mustard person.

Once in a while I will take pork chops out of the freezer and put them in the crock pot with maple syrup and sliced apples. I buy a whole pig every year or so for guest breakfasts - the chops are rarely chosen as it is usually my homemade pork sausage, bacon, or ham OR my homemade maple venison sausage that is requested. My meats and eggs are local and the herbs for the sausage comes from my yard.
