I haven't got mine set up yet but I have found a massage therapist willing to make house calls and work with me for weekend massages. I expect I will be able to do some restaurant packages as well this year if I want to. I think I am going to package the massage with our current romance package somehow - I just need to look at pricing..
My massage therapist travels out to all the b & b's and cabins around here. She makes a ton doing it!!!!She has several helpers that go with her when they do couples massages. She is very popular. I am surprised none of the others will travel. They surely have to know she has the market cornered right now.
She charges $55 an hour in office/ $60 an hour outside of office.... and I think she is going to increase that a bit for traveling out this year.
.
My therapist charges $50 in her studio and she gets $75 here. She has to drive her, she has a heavy (and large) massage table to lug upstairs.... And guests have never balked at the price. To them that is reasonable. And she is GOOD!! If she is unavailable, there is a spa a few miles down the road - also good. I have sent people there when Amanda was unavailable.
.
I'm trying to find one as well. I don't think it would be fair to give out the same therapist name that the other inns do. I'd feel like I was "stealing" them.
I think I'm going to try and buy a table so they don't have to lug it. That might make a difference. Plus the economy is worse than the last time I tried, so maybe I'll find someone now.

If you buy a table you will have to store it - and why? That is the tools of the massage trade. The masseuse deducts that as an expense. If you are going to be the masseuse that is another thing altogether. If you still want to buy one - go to eBay or Craigslist.
And by the way, it is not stealing to use the same masseuse. It means her business is growing because she is good. You want the word of mouth - so does a good masseuse.

We have the luxury of building our space to our needs unlike others working with antique buildings.
When we put on the other wing we will have another connector space. The connector on the first wing is our tasting room. The other side I want to put in a sauna kit and have a spa space. It can go there no problem. And when the therapist doesn't have to lug the table, it will help them and me. I like to try and make my place and my tours as enjoyable as possible for the people I work with.

My friends have converted their old smokehouse into a Massage therapy room. It is so nice and has a large patio door overlooking the mountains. Folks love it. They can accomodate 2 tables for couples massages and the 2 massage therapists...it works out really well. She loves getting out of her office and traveling and we all love her!!! Hey tomorrow is my massage day. I do go to her though:)
.
I have a new vinotherapy shampoo and conditioner line that I hope to be able to sell through my gift shop. I'm combining looking for a massage therapist with checking to see which spas in my area are interested in going with this company. They have a whole line made from the oils of the grape seed, leaf and stem. This has been very popular in Europe for some time but the US is just now finding out that the wine grape is good for the outside as well as the inside.
ah what I have to do in the name of work/science. I'll have to go get a number of massages and facials in this venture....!

Yes, I want to find a facialist (can't spell esthatician???) so that I can include a package with this product if I like it. It's hard to find vinotherapy product in this country. They make some in Napa but no shampoo - just some skin care and I wanted to find a whole line.
