Do you guys clean every day? How often if people stay a couple nights?

We ask at check in what the guest desires, service daily or respect privacy and let us know if or what services they would like us to do each day. Now to be truthful a large part of our business is weekend, often a guest arrives Friday evening, sleeps, spends Saturday and departs Sunday as opposed to one staying truly long term.
One advantage of daily may depend on the guest, you and your furnishing, do you need to protect yourself and furnishings from a careless guest?
Type of guest? By that I mean a business traveller or romantic couple may have a neat room that you can fluff and make pretty for the next night, while 4 guys coming to ski for the weekend complete with skis, snowboards, loads of winter clothes, and electronics and mom wasn't along to pick up after them, well there is no place to put your feet to walk through the room and I'm not mom or the valet.

Every single day.

We clean every day...bathrooms get the full Monty, beds get made and linens changed after 3-4 nights depending on circumstances, sitting rooms get tidied. This is as much for us, as a protection of our investment, as it is for the guest’s comfort. A wet shower gets mildewed. Soiled linen stains set and ruin sheets and towels. Spilled coffee, wine, crumbs are easier to clean sooner rather than later.

We ask our guests at breakfast if they'd like their rooms refreshed while they're out. About half say yes, about half say no.
As mentioned, if they get in at 11pm on a Friday night, they usually don't want a Saturday service.

Every day, unless the DND sign is on the door or the guest doesn't leave the room by 11.
Guests might throw food away, which necessitates emptying the trash. About 30% of our guests want fresh towels so they throw them on the bathroom floor. Some guests leave all the lights on and wet towels on the bed or wood furniture, so I prefer to go into the room to make sure everything is okay. It generally takes about 15 minutes for me to tidy a room, unless they're total slobs!

Fluff or Flip ... always one or the other.
Fluff just to check for wet towels, running water etc. Empty the trash, pull the bed together. Usually I change out towels because they're just not fresh. For a couple night stay.
Mega Fluff .... change the sheets, vacuum, clean the bathroom, Empty trash ... 1/2 way through a week's stay.
Flip ... deep clean of everything after they've checked out.

Every single day... A single damp towel can destroy your bedside table in a day. If you have a four poster bed that isn't very tall, expect wet towels, bathing suits, sweaty jacket, etc to be hanging from it 7 out of 10 times. They are on vacation and don't care or they have a maid at home to pick up after them.

What she (Silverspoon) said. You are doing your guests a service. They get to return to a tidy room with fresh towels. ummmmm. You are doing you a service. No wet towels on furniture or set-in-stain surprises upon guest departure!

And we do not have Do Not Disturb signs exactly for that reason.
If we get push-back, we just say "Sorry, Health Department rules".
