Tina Czarnota began/designated National Country Inn Bed and Breakfast Day which falls annually on the first Sunday in October. She wanted me to let you all know about something special we are doing THIS YEAR for this day. She is giving us enough advance notice, if all of us want to do something or join in below:
"If you and your inn would like to be involved in this event. It's local but we will be broadcasting live, streaming and as the net is global, well, transmission should be nationwide and (must check) global.
We are accepting (begging lol) all manner of B&B, Inn related goods to be include in either our raffle, giveaway or similar.
Chotchkis from logo'd goods to B&B gift cards (used only if one lodges at property so win-win as inn's name gets out either way), donations, product placements and more.
And there's a special offer which would involve a nominal fee, donation to pay for transmission and that would be to set aside a slot for a live call in at our event. Peter Wein would do a broadcast interview and that would give innkeeper a chance to tell us about their property, any specials they may be boasting, location, high points etc. Would be fun.
If any of the above sounds appealing, don't hesitate to reply to Tina (her contact info is on the link and that's her below center) and we can go from there.
What IS National Country Inn Bed and Breakfast Day?
This page says:
"This year, why not celebrate ‘Country Inn Bed and Breakfast Day’ by choosing one of the world’s finest rural retreats and enjoying a relaxing weekend getaway.
‘Country Inn Bed and Breakfast Day’ is an occasion that originated a good while ago in the west, and thousands of hostelries now make a special effort every year to welcome visitors by providing special events, information and entertainments.
Ways that you could celebrate ‘Country Inn Bed and Breakfast Day’ could include cooking your family a traditional fried breakfast, if you are unable to get away for the occasion, perhaps with some specialties of your region, or researching the history of country inns and bed and breakfasts. There are thousands, and quite a few have been the scene of thrilling historical moments. Why not make a bucket list of famous country inns that you would love to visit?"
