We searched for about 2 years all over the UK.
Some areas we discounted because it was too expensive, others because the season is quite short and we didn't think we could make it work.
We were looking for an older property with character, this house was one of the last we looked at because it was only 3 years old. DH knew immediately and so did my sister who viewed with us. It was built for B&B so lovely big ensuites and overlooks the most famous lake in the UK. They talked me into it.
I'd say location most important, followed by the room/ensuite sizes.
