I have one guest room with a chocolate feature wall and the other walls are cream. Right now the coverlet on the bed is a rosy floral with bands of taupe. It looks fine but I'm bored and am going to move that to another room.
I'm wondering what other colors I could put in this room. The chairs are upholstered in a dark brown, so I need something brighter on the bed.
Coral? I've tried blue but can't find the right blue to go with the walls.
Another rosy pink?
Patterned creams/browns?

Go to the BEHR website and use their colour selector, it will give you a few combos that should work.

Here is a neat website that can help you combine colors. You put your start color in and then you can select colors that compliment it, are analogous, or triad. It's pretty cool - fun to play with.

Depending on the feeling in the room, could go with something neutral with a splash of color in a pillow, picking up on any color in the curtains or rugs. Stay simple for a more contemporary feeling, as opposed to traditional.

A splotch of orange - a warm orange, not blaze or neon. Or yellow.

I'm with the soft blue crowd. Benjamin Moore has a nice blue called Smoke. It's not a 'blue in your face' colour, but very soft. I actually keep paint chips of it for guests that ask for the colour.

Cranberry Red! Not quite red or purple, somewhere in the middle. I like browns, tans, and red together. Just my personal taste....

I'm all for the teal/turquoise look! Problem is trying to find that online in the exact right shade. It would definitely go with the pictures on the walls which have that light teal color.
I'm leaning toward this, which I just found.
This is the coral I liked. But it might not go with the overall house.
This one is restful in a taupe-y shade.

ok, my work computer won't open these links which makes me think there is a block that prevents me from uploading pictures.
not much help in decorating, but I'm thinking there is an issue with this site on my work computer.

The beige is going to need a lot of cleaning.

I'd suggest you introduce some other color than brown and cream. Those can be beautiful and sophisticated. I prefer my rooms to be beautiful and bright. Make it 'happy.'

One of our rooms is dark chocolate brown with teal... we just bought light teal sheets to co-ordinate with the present darker teal matelassé coverlet too.
The L Room. In fact, years ago the owners of your famous chocolate store picked that very room to stay in '07. They volunteered to take care of the inn so that I could go to my Dad's funeral, pre-Poppa moving up here. We declined, but 'twas a nice thought.

Love your wainscotting! We've added that in one room and will be doing another. A little bit of a highlight to make the fireplaces stand out.

I've been switching over to solids. White, yellow and green in different rooms. I didn't want them at first due to all the cleaning from dirty suitcases but guests have been remarkably kind to the bedding this year.
