YES! My first thought was of Radar explaining that nicknames have a way of sticking, and you have to be careful. It was the episode where Hawkeye kind of lost his mind and thought he was a kid again playing basketball and he started calling Radar "Stinky" or something.

I knew an electrician whose nickname became Sparky, and not for a happy reason.
