Wondering if men like and use white bath towels or prefer a color, which is Mr. Figurehead's preference such as sage green. What have you found?

Years ago stayed at a motel that had colored towels and liked them, guess it was different from the norm.
Most of our years in the business we have used colored as well, presently light and dark green, but I agree with Beach House that guests seem most interested in a decent quantity of nice towels, don't think that I've heard a comment on the colors.
Last time we ordered we ordered white, but returned as I was not pleased with the quality, would probably order white if assured of a quality that I liked.

A young innkeepers perspective. White is the only choice. If a color was better, the hotel industry would have adopted it. They are usually more expensive and are certainly more expensive to maintain. I get 5 times the life out of white towels because of the ease of cleaning. If running your inn is not a hobby, you should quickly choose white and move on. There are many more important matters to deal with.

We like color and have sets. But it's us. Example: We do a big stripe towels with orange, green, and white. Hand towels are orange and the wash clothes are white while the bath matter is green. It ties it all together and gives the bathroom colors. Or we do solids colors. A dark blue big towel, med blue hand towel, light blue washcloth with a white bathmat. (same color blue but different shades)
That being said, having different color towels and sets, one is destroyed, it ruins the whole set. But we then use the good one for the extra people or as pool towels. I like it because you can see right away if one goes missing than if they are all the same. Also the guests are aware that towels are changed out regularly because of the colors.

White. You can bleach the heck out of them if need be. And then dye them to know when they are rags.

White. No one thinks the color ones are really clean.
Ok, in my experience, guys don't care as long as there is a towel.

White. People like to be able to see "clean". It makes my bathrooms look 'spa-like'.

I will say that because of mascara our face cloths are not white. They are more of a toffee color. We also have super cheap pastel face cloths that I don't care about at all.

Chiming in here to agree on using white. Easier to clean. Easier to replace. No concern about matching colors. Find a product you like and stock up during the sales.

White. I've used them for years now and have only had a couple that I had to retire due to stains that wouldn't come out.

We use all white, except for our beach towels which are turquoise. We orderd he towels and our linens through Sysco. They sent lots of samples and the towels are thick and fluffy and wash really well.

That's what I thought and have more white than green with a basket of light brown/tan washcloths for make-up. Thank you. We are beginning to have many reservations and started thinking too much and second guessing my readiness and decisions.

If you're worried about make up on your face cloths, I ordered the black make-up face cloths from Turkish Towel and I include a container of face wipes from Costco, Kirkland brand. I place them on the shelf by the hand towels and face cloths and I've never come across a stained face cloth since I did that.

exactly - neighbour who does her own laundry and is very clean - got a review "because it was coloured duvet covers i don't believe they change them every time" - mind you if they see my linen going out (about 20 bags today) they at least know for definite we change them every time!

.
And if we want to expand on linen color choice there's this new research about bedding color...
