This week is Frontier Days. For the last 4 years that has meant no one could drive in front of my house (the Midway) and the view from my porch was the back of the Skee Ball trailer - only my sidewalk kept it from being on my porch. This year, Reuben contracted a new carnival company, the only one headquartered in WV. Today they spent the day cleaning and polishing the ride cars - something I have never seen before. I have heard no loud cursing voices all day from carny workers, and I swear that locking my shed was unnecessary.
I took these photos last night. This is the view from my porch this year.

Tonight Himself said they were sitting on our front steps too. Families. I love this photo.
