I'm late on this thread but......Do any of you do this or have you considered it?.
SuperInn has a second confirmation email that you can send out and I use it for reservations that are more than several weeks out. I can set up a reminder in the rez system for me to re-confirm the rez on a particular date. It has all the same reservation info and then I have the template set up to say something like "this is to re-confirm your reservation, please refer to the policies in your original confirmation" and then I modify/personalize the closing for each guest. A couple of times the guest has emailed me to thank me because they didn't get the original confirmation! Doesn't take much time at all either.
