name that book. you have the opportunity to title a mystery novel. what title would you give it?
there is no book at present. i need ideas for my next writing project.
l'm going to start with the title and go from there.
This is for something to do while I shop the first book around. Not a mystery.

Don't Look Behind You
Maybe not a mystery, but a scary book, lol. Hope I haven't given you a title that I've already read....

'Til Death Do Us Part' - I have the beginning of the storyline but no more. I know, I know - there are several already out there, including one by Kate White that I like, not to mention a TV show. In my defense, I've had the idea for 15 years but haven't started it, so others are lapping me.

The Lighthouse Caretaker or The Man of ______ Lighthouse.

There was a story in the paper 7-8 years ago about a couple who bought an island and were moving out there from SoCal. I thought it was a Stephen King story waiting to happen. Alone on an island in the Atlantic over the winter?

Check out this dangerous lighthouse on the Oregon coast. The stories of life there even in the best of times was brutal.

And here is another - The Butcher Shop

wow. I have a book with no title - maybe I should share it here for your suggestions!

Himself is currently writing his story - he was shocked when I said he was writing his autobiography. He did not equate "his story" to autobiography. I hope the spell checker I ordered last week gets here soon - his spelling sucks and he knows it so I get calls on the intercom asking, "How do yu spell.... I can't find it in my dictionary."
I would not dream of writing mine - too boring.

The Coast Guard has been divesting itself of it's lighthouse properties. I think Halfway Rock in Casco Bay and the Boone Island light were recently both up for auction.
The Cuckolds Lighthouse in our area was recently converted into a high-end B&B... but I'm pretty sure that they are not open in the winter!
