Stress is:
Having a honeymoon couple here for 5 days in our cottage. Of course they were asked about any food issues and even likes/dislikes. Delivered a 4 course breakfast every morning and an hour later, their basket is put outside for us to pick up.
I know I shouldn't care, but I can't help it!
Every day I tried to find a different type of breakfast to serve them, thinking I would hit on it eventually.
Each day, most of the breakfast was not even touched. Not even tasted! Even the baked goods were returned...eggs, fruit, pastries, biscuits, etc.
They checked out today and here's what we found that they must have been eating for breakfast:
It really does take all kinds!.

I would be beside myself! Yes, that is stressful. I think I would have asked them what they would like after the first two days so I wouldn't waste any more food and be irritated the next two days. Argh!
.
This has been happening the past couple of weeks and I totally understand now why restaurants won't seat you until your whole party has arrived.
One person from a group comes and sits. They want to eat NOW! The spouse, kids, friends can eat later!
But they won't relinquish the table. No, my spouse, kid, friends are coming.
One day, each person came 15 minutes after the previous one. We kept making breakfast for one table for an hour!
Over the weekend two separate tables asked for seconds!!! We hadn't even fed half the guests and now these guests want seconds. It was 9:45 and we still hadn't finished making breakfast for guests who had arrived 30 minutes before!
Where I was going with this was a room today where 2 guests are in the room but a friend showed up to drive them around. One guest and the friend sat down and I asked if the other guest was eating. Oh, no, she never eats breakfast. Of course she wanted breakfast today but showed up 5 minutes before she had to leave. She sent the other two out to get the table and get her breakfast made so she didn't have to sit there! They told me no breakfast and she got no breakfast.
Other stressor... Am I supposed to be feeding the friend who is going to show up everyday to drive the guests? I'm not planning on it! Being as we were only supposed to have one guest in that room and now there are two and the early morning friend.
Because of the second guest we now have to serve breakfast early for a week.
