It's the time of year when things that the guests do are starting to get to me....
Today, a guest had cleared off a lovely wood and glass table... to put their nasty luggage on top. There are two luggage racks in the room, one set out, one in the closet. Okay, so maybe you missed the one in the closet... but on a glass table? Really? (I just moved the luggage from the table. It's scratched to hell and ruined.) Guest is the kind that never seems happy... left my breakfast in pieces mostly without eating it, even though I told her it didn't contain her allergen. Asked if there was another guest in the room next to them. Need extra AC. Extra fan. Complained about the garage. Can't seem to do anything right for her. Oh, complained about chipped cup.... sorry, they are a very old set... maybe 70 years old... they have a few chips.
A few days ago it was the Nutella... almost a whole jar in 3 days. Complained that I couldn't give the room they wanted in spite of the fact that it was booked by someone else, before them and they knew about it.
Oh and the number of guests who can't follow the instructions for the doors in the last few days. Hangry people, cranky, ill-contented... should I put a Snickers bar on their pillows? Oh, I have a GF/VG coming for 2 days.... always fun. If it isn't bad enough trying to handle GF, we have to combine it. Same time we have a GF/LactoseF (but repeat guest... always happy with what I make for their diet) and a dairy-free (allergy). Can I just make the GF/VG a smoothie with some fruit and call it a day?
Thankfully, we have a few repeat guests coming who are usually nice to have back in the house and make me feel like I'm going a good job, instead of a horrible job and can't please anyone.
