Saved by the sign. Again.

Yesterday we cleaned all the carpets. Left everything to dry overnight. Putting the furniture back in today. I got up early and hung out the 'back at 3 for check in' sign so I didn't have to rush.
Yup. Someone came to the door to check in at 11:30. Saved by the sign. They have gone off now. Hopefully to come back when the rooms are back together again.
I'm taking my time so I don't wrench my back. Not as young as I used to be!

I made a wooden sign, one side reads open other closed. This hangs beside the door and the size of 12" wide and 3 ' long. The reason I made it initially was due to a local that twice found a back doors unlocked and let herself in. She was looking for donations for a charity, she did not one.
Sometimes people do not realize that a B&B is also our home and not a business that is open 24/7. Still have people wonder up on decks and walk around, there are those who signs do not apply to.
