Roofer at last - wish me luck

Two months since the day we were going to start "next week", but started on the roof yesterday, please wish me luck as I may need some, it took forever to do the house roof, but at least it looks good to me, hope the motel roof will prove to look good too and not take so long to complete

I thought the red on the house looked good, but daughter who has a good eye for color felt it would be too much red since our brick is red and rest of building is painted about the same red so game plan is for green roof, cream trim with the red brick and walls on lower section.
I just hope the hole in the roof is completed before the next rain, really nice guys, but they don't seem to have the same concern I do for getting the job done quickly.

I've been dreaming of a solar roof, but they don't really make them for flat roofs and that's what most of us in the city have.

I hope that will be the case, looks better after yesterday with the sheeting replaced, but unfortunately just the first section of several.

Interesting. I don't see a list of partners that install. The advantage with the Tesla system is that you really don't see that it's solar panels... which I might need city permission to install. And of course, it would be nice to have the battery pack, though we are legally allowed to send electricity back into the electric system and have them reduce our bill.
There is also a soda can heater. Been thinking of building that for my garage. Should bring up the temp in the winter with no cost. Because it's not really heated at the moment.

Thanks for asking, but not too much to show as yet, At least that gaping hole is covered, but still some sheeting to be replaced so it will be messy again before it is finished. Got that part dried in Friday, lucky considering all the heavy rain yesterday, pretty weather today, but no roofers, see what tomorrow brings.

It it has taken too long, but roof is getting finished at last, original date was to be finished in September, really started in October and finishing in December, now my spring job will be outside painting.
