Reservation Key is a success...

Updated today: 03/12/15 I saw an early email from John before B&B's were really onboard, and I was inquiring about the product. There was one B&B at the time I signed up and was helping develop the product, as we did. I decided while doing taxes in January 2010 I had given enough hard-earned money to webervations who didn't care about my business in the least (since being bought out by a corp). Word of mouth has gone through the roof for ReservationKey and thanks to all of you the product is terrific and meets our needs!
Never underestimate the mighty power of these innmates here. If there is a problem somewhere we may be the best bet to intercede. This is a great group, cantankerous, you betchya, great the GREaTEST!
I was deleting some folders in my outlook email system (way overdue) and then it hit me, I have been using reservationkey SINCE FEBRUARY 2010!
Only a few glitches to speak of, super support and an amazing advocate for us!

we use webreserv. which works very well with one exception. it doesn't interface with b oking dot com. Does reskey interface with d.c? it would help the scary situations of possible double booking when we are not staring at our email.

And I am surprised at how many inns in my town are still taking phone, email and fax (fax!) reservations. auto reservation was the smartest thing we've done.

easy buy a mobile phone with a decent sized screen - link it to your email so you get it straight away - the if one comes through another channel you simply load it through your own online booking using your phone into your system to close out the room - problem solved.

Does RES Key work in two languages? Or is it possible to write both languages for each entry (for example: Sea/Mar room/habitation)- just wondering? (maybe not the best example...)

You can edit a lot of the information that's seen on the screens, including the "prompts" that ask the guest to enter their name, address, etc.. You have total control over the content of e-mails the system sends out.

I’ve looked at reskey and while the price is low I’m worried about them being too small of a business. Webervations burned us where David didn’t charge enough and sold to Eric at rezovations who later raised the price. From my understanding reskey is a small shop. Do I really want to trust another small business? How many employees do they have? I hear their owner is living out of country. I’m hoping that is just a rumor. I’m also hearing rumors that he is looking to sell and they are raising their prices. Can anyone confirm these rumors?

Go with your gut. Don't do it. We don't need to convince you. You have too many reasons to NOT use them, go ahead and pay the big bucks to feel more comfortable. (No I am not being sarcastic in the least).

One of the reasons rezovations had to raise the price when they bought webervations was to make it be pci compliant. I was not happy to learn that webervations wasn’t really secure for years. I was on the resnexus website and from what I understand any reservation system that is storing our credit cards not only has to be pci compliant but have a security company come in and make sure they are actually doing everything they should. Having been burned by webervations I don’t want that to happen again. I’m not finding any of that information on reskeys website.

Why don't you just ask the owner of the site if you don't trust our replies? Do a search for Res key here ..there have been many discussions on them.

Frankly, with the attitude you are displaying here, for the sake of ResKey, I hope you go elsewhere. Since I do not know you, where you are, the size of you inn or IF you even HAVE an inn, bad mouthing something you know nothing about and trying to start rumors about something you obviously know NOTHING about- you are in the wrong place. (I think your binkie and blankie are waiting for you - adults do not start rumors.)
