Boy they do not make it easy if you forget your password. You have to know the last password you used (duh), the date you created the email account, another email account you already associated with the email account you're locked out of, or you're out of luck. So, I'm locked out of the apps on my phone because I can't remember the gmail password for the account I needed to sign up for to get the apps.

Never heard of such a thing. Who knows the date you created an email account? That's crazy.
iTunes is about as bad.

Didn't they offer to call you with a code to the phone number listed on the account?

Nope. Email only. To a different account, but it had to already be associated with the one with the lost pw. I FOUND the pw. It's exactly what I'm typing in. But it's not the one they want.
However, perhaps luckily, I was not logged off on the phone. I was trying to access the same account on my laptop to see if there was any trash mail I should clear. So as long as I never log off the phone I'm ok.

If logged in on your phone can you change password from there without knowing the old one, or the one the want?

You can set up an emergency phone number and they will contact that with a code via SMS.

I think I need the correct old pw. That prevents someone who finds the phone from locking you out of everything.

Try the above address and see if any of the suggestions listed prove useful. Looked like in the second section for resetting password that there should be a way, at least maybe worth trying on your computer. Also saw a "help" forum listed.

Can't be as bad as First Data who I have a card processing machine from.
If I don't log onto my account once in 3 months (I think it is) they delete my account. I then have to phone up and re-apply for an online account, even though they've never stopped processing payments through the machine.
