Hi,
On Friday we rolled out a tool for accommodation owners to adjust the view of the Google Street View camera. To access this, log into the listing, then look for "Street View and Aerial View" under the main menu navigation.
Regarding proximity - we average out the position for the B&B's in a town then assume the town is where that average is. So our distance calculation can be really off if we have B&B's on the outskirts listing in towns.
We do it based on as the crow flies.

However, we now can calculate driving directions. So maybe one day we can calculate driving distances between places to get better proximity numbers.
