Had a couple check in, loved the room, brought steamed lobsters to go to the deck and had a nice early dinner. Bell rang at about 6 PM, "we're checking out." Me: "Is everything ok?" Him, "Everything is good. She has to get back to work in NYC. I have to get back home to the South Shore."
Me: "Most of our checkouts are in the morning, but ok. Safe travels."
LDR? Affair? Whatever, they left smiling.

Huh? Two less breakfasts you have to make this morning!

That happened to me a couple months ago. Five hours here, didn't even use the bed. Checked in, went to the beach, came back & showered and checked out. Left a glowing review. Weirdest thing ever!

Almost as good as my 3-rooms for 3-might payment and they were here a bit over 24 hours. I had everything so ready for them that it did not take 3-days (for which they were appreciative as they had a lot to do back home).

Day use, a new concept for hotels. Saw an ad for this OTA which books for this type of use.

can see the demand for it in say an airport or large city like New York - here you would just get afternoon bed hoppers not something I want to get into

.
And we are an hour away from the airport and it is not a simple ride. There are five routes and several surface streets involved.
