Can Anyone Tell Me Why....

People choose to sleep between the blanket and the comforter - not slipping into my wonderful comphy sheets? It doesn't happen often, but it always perplexes me when it does. Surely people know that the blankets and comforter are not washed between each guest, but the sheets are? I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I missed it. I'm really curious why this happens....

But they're not even on the top sheet. They're completely on top of the blanket, using the folded up comforter at the foot of the bed as their cover. It's so odd. I wish I could ask one of them without offending, that's how much it intrigues me.

We had a couple do this two weeks ago, I spent more time examining the sheets to see if my theory was correct or not than just getting on with my job. I had to know, how can TWO people do this, how? I am with you Banana, 100%.
And they weren't from Asia. They weren't super young either.

I had different guests do this twice last week. Drives me crazy! If you're too warm, then fold the quilt and blanket down and sleep under just the sheet!

Sorry, don't have the answer. I had ones sleep on top of the top sheet. I folded it down in a triangle and they slept between the sheets the rest of the time.

I fold everything down (top sheet and duvet), kind of roll it all up, and place the pillows over the fold down, so when the pillow is lifted the bed is turned down and it's obvious where to get in. They'd have to do some work, unrolling/unfolding what I've set up, to get between the duvet and the top sheet. Nobody has ever done it.
And no, I have no clue why a sober person would sleep between the blanket and the comforter. I've had Swedes sleep between the duvet and the top sheet, because in Sweden they don't have a top sheet. Just a duvet and a bottom sheet. That's why I started turning the bed down for them, and placing the pillows over it, so it's obvious how to get into the thing.

I'm not above being passive aggressive with people. If they'd stayed a 3rd night, they'd have found safety pins bonding the comforter and blanket to the top sheet. If they remove those and did it again, I'd break out the needle and thread. Never a word said! Passive aggressive ARE US.

Maybe they were just lounging on the blanket, fell asleep and then got cold during the night so they pulled up the comforter? I can see that happening one night...but if it happens a second night then there is something else going on.
