What to do?!? Celebrate! Must have heard you won those two awards and had to give you a step up. Though I think they should have given you the number one slot!

I moved up by 8 numbers in the last week, from 23rd to 15th. And it has always been a tight but weird race around here, with some guys with 4.5 eyes ahead of those with 5 eyes.

I've maintained my rating but I'm listed at the bottom now because I have no availability for them to make money on.
So, if you look at the numbers, I'm 4 of 8 but my listing is in slot 9. (There's a promoted inn in slot 1.)
Keep this in mind. If you list with the OTA s it doesn't matter what your ranking is, you're dropping down the list if you have no rooms online at the moment. There's a lesson there.

You likely have dates or preferences picked, because I see you as number 4 on the list (I have no preferences and no dates).

There are several ways to sort. Check the top of the page and sort by "ranking."

Moved up and they list 2 motel/BnB's that closed 2 yrs ago. Plus have me located 3.3 miles out of town ,when I'am smack dab in the middle of town ?? How do I change that ?

For cancelled business, you need to attack on 2 fronts: Send your rep an email alerting them to this, while at the same time going to the closed B&B websites and finding the (Very) hidden link for feedback about the listing. Failing that, you can submit a review that mentions that the place is now closed. They'll send you a note back rejecting the review since you technically didn't stay there, but it will sometimes end up on the right drone's desk and get the listing removed.
Last year we had one close and another burn to the ground, and it took TA 6 months to catch up to that fact.

We are #1 today! Good news and bad news. Expectations are high, but being #1 looks good.
No, we didn't get a new review today, so I have no idea why we moved up.
Before the new algorithm, we were holding steady at #6. In the past two weeks, we have gotten three reviews and moved up to #1.
I can't explain it.

Be happy its super - however on the other front if there ever comes a day when we actually do understand the tripadviser algorythm I will have my pigs ready for launch.
