Lea Ann, you must understand this, you have NO competition because no one else has YOU.
I have hope for years that someone else would open a B & B here. We could have shared marketing & advertising and helped each other with over-flow. Also I sincerely believe this - there can be 1 B & B anywhere but 2 or more? there must be something there. I have a boatload of things to see and do but have not found someone who wants to be an innkeeper.
Talked to a young lady during Frontier Days who wants to be an innkeeper but who does not have the $$$. I told her to start saving her shekels to buy my place after Himself dies.

True but I do not think they would leave here. Some people are tied to HOME. They are young enough for the parents to still be alive and needing attention.

We tried to buy an inn 18 years ago with a very small savings account. We tried to get them interested in carrying a down or renting to own or other more creative financing. They wouldn't bite.
So we got regular jobs and bought a regular house and made ourselves at home in this vacation town. Saved a few bucks along the way and went for a walk one day.
DH says to me, I think we could do this. I say, but we have regular jobs. He says, the math works.
And here we are. The other house we couldn't afford is still an inn. Keep going forward even if the first time doesn't work. Life is nothing, if not change.

Not that I want the competition, but this house is beautiful!

It sure is beautiful! I hope that place finds a loving new owner with the resources to take good care of it, and trim back those over-grown shrubs in front!

If someone did buy it and turn it into an inn, they are still 30 miles away. I have always loved that house and would love to just walk through it. I hope someone buys it and loves it. If I had some some big money lying around it would be mine! Lol
