WVBBA is making a video - professionally - and it is finally being filmed. Today was the day they got to me (I told them the drop-dead day for me to be included). I forgot to take my own photos! Crap! I did baked oatmeal (because it would hold its looks for filming - egg dishes deflate) with vanilla Greek yogurt on the side, ham in the slow cooker with maple syrup and thick apple slices, the fruit was dark cherry halves and chunks of peaches and watermelon, gingerbread muffins, Rwanda coffee, and the juices were OJ and mango nectar. Now to get the dishes done!A couple from town came over to be "the guests" at breakfast and were also at the fire pit with goblets. He took shots of my adding the red raspberries to the top of the oatmeal and then all the breakfsat. I do not know what all he filmed. I stayed out of the way - told him I did NOT need to be in the pictures.
I got everything done this week - City Council Minutes, told the City Manager how to send the Agendas to the Media, met a friend for a pedi and lunch Friday, met with other friends for lunch Saturday, went to the Jones family reunion Sunday, and packed last night because of the filming today. Another friend came over to get the grapes on my arbor today also.
My hairdresser is opening her shop early tomorrow just to give me a whack & a doo before I leave. Then a stop at the bank to cash my paycheck and I will be on the road! It will be hit & miss for me for the next month. Stay well, All.
Update: Started loading bags in car - oops, going to be late for hair. SHE was late getting there but got my whack & doo. Went back to the house - thankfully - to lock up my parts of the house. As I turned to pull the kitchen door shut to lock it, noticed my backpack was in the kitchen - NOT in the car! Plane ticket & rail pass plus clothes in that backpack. Have everything with me. At the hotel now. Great dinner with the General and his wife. Breakfst with grandson and then off to the airport. I'll Fly Away!
