High heat and humidity is one of the reasons why we left Ontario and came down here. The breezes off the ocean are most welcome in the summer time and our guests truly appreciate it.
I could almost put a sweater on when I start in the morning but I just think of it as fresh air! Nice to be able to not see what you're breathing in.

This is the most we have run our A/C in sixteen years and we are at 4,500 feet! I left Florida to get away from the heat and humidity. Argh! People laugh when I tell them the high was 76 or 78 but it has been very sticky this year.
Some of my guests have actually requested NOT to have the A/C on in their rooms (I can't imagine). I am fortunate to be married to my resident handyman who has been in the A/C, heating, plumbing and electrical business for 35 years. My zoned system allows me to have A/C in one guest room and not in the other or different temps for each room in the house. The thermostat control for all of them is in my bedroom to keep guest fingers off. (Some guests could screw up an iron ball!)
I don't know how other small B&B's manage if they have to call someone for every breakdown. All the profits go out the window (or down the drain so to speak). Counting my blessings as another thunderstorm threatens.
Good for the garden but tough on the budget..
Welcome. We just had a deluge pass through. Dropped the temp by about 15 degrees.
Himself is anal about weather. The record high/low is in the paper every day - almost every day, the resord for each was set in the 1930s or late 1920s. Just another weather cycle.

wish wish wish I had a/c in my room. The temp has dropped out of the 90's ... was 98 where I was today. Is now 89 ... hoping for another drop. Air was heavy and gross.

Cheer up SS. Wind is from the NW today and then switching to NE in the afternoon. I think you will find the Southern air is kept further south today. WHEW! We are definitely not used to that kind of heat and humidity here!

yes, you are right! It is supposed to be hot again today but not that heavy oppressive heat. I went down to the harbor at 5:30 this morning and took pictures.

Wish I could stay at the water all day. But in the very early morning, with hardly anyone around, it's really a nice time to be there. Sometimes I watch the fishing boats heading out. I notice people hurrying off to wherever in their cars and they don't seem to stop and look at the sunrise.
