Hoping everyone checks in here with snow and safety info!
Let us know how it is going!!!!
My neighborhood is only expecting a couple inches. But the mid Atlantic states are looking at a history making accumulation!
Stay safe and warm, everyone!

Sunny and 35 here. Planning to go to a snowmobile show tomorrow.

They say we are to get up to 3 inches tonight but I think we have already gotten that in the last 2 hours.
I got supplies in so the bridal couple will not have to go out until checkout Sunday. That is not part of the package, but I figure the restaurants will be closed - travel advisories are posted.
Preacher Beecher has a 4-wheel drive and the couple will be on 4-lane road all except the last 10 miles on a US highway.

30 and ocean effect clouds here. We never know what we will get from these storms, except we always get a BIG wind from a nor'easter..that is guaranteed. Predicting wind gusts to 60 mph and coastal flooding so our poor sandy beaches are in for trouble.
This space station image covers much of the area that will be blanketed in white by Sunday morning. Hang on...it's winter 2016!

Not even a teeny chance. Gomez froze his knee so badly back in the day that it still locks up on him. To the point he doesn't drive a stick shift. And I'm not interested in noisy toys.
So it's more for nostalgia's sake we're going.

Last time we did this they had hauled in snow from surrounding parking lot piles so they could show how the Model A snow 'chine worked.
We have about 9 inches on the ground now. Don't know what fell way up north.

We have about 5 inches now but expect 24-30 in total.
Yikes! Stay safe. 30" is a lot of snow!

It is the wind here that is the main event so far...keeping fingers crossed that we do not lose power. Thankfully, we do not have to worry about guests this winter. That is a huge relief!

I'm in ski country and we're getting NOTHING. I'd gladly take 30" … too bad it doesn't fall where it's wanted! Stay safe.

The NWS just upgraded us to Blizzard warning. Visibility is nil and the wind sounds like a freight train is coming through. Oh our poor beaches!!!

Maybe it's time to plan a trip to Iceland where apparently the weather is kinder!

My turn here on the south shore of Massachusetts.
The winds are high and we have flooding on some coastal streets. It's hard to tell how much snow we are getting. Not a lot by our 'storm' standards when we can measure in feet instead of inches ... unless it stalls overhead, then we'll see.
No cars on the road (a good thing as someone's lawn ornament just went barrelling down the middle of the street).

Deep South - no snow here but wind advisory with below freezing temps all day and more through the night. That's cold for us Southerners!
Where my son's family lives in the NE part of the state, they got 1/2" of snow. Toddler granddaughter had a lot of fun and named her little snowman "Olaf". :)
