Yes, you may be better to do some resizing/rearranging of things. I'm seeing the current logo as about 5 times wider than tall, and your lastest version about 2.5 times wider than tall.
So Swirt would have to make everything half size to fit the current space, or there'd have to be a lot more blank space at the top of the page to accommodate a new logo nearly twice as tall as the current one.
Maybe just make the image a little smaller and the text a little larger so you end up with a logo as tall and wide as the current one (687 x 136).

I usually don't like change, but I think this new header will be like a new coat of paint. A nice change, an nice image. Good job, Empty Nest!
I'm glad you didn't use Comic Sans, because I know people ridicule it. But I must tell you, I often highlight text, open the Font box and use the Down cursor arrow to watch the highlighted text change to different fonts while I look for one I like. I cannot tell you how often I'm scanning through the fonts and pause at one and think, oh I like that look. Then I look up at the Font box and see I'm sitting on Comic Sans!! So of course I have to move on to something else.

I do the same thing. I have so many fonts. and always getting more. oh I hate comic sans now. dont ever use it.
