think we have discussed this before but have sold more "forgotten items" this week and retail items than every before top sales are
(1) toothbrush and toothpaste kits
(2) Ketchup and Brown sauce (UK weird sauce) $10 for 2 locally made in nice glass bottles and served at

And here we had 2 coffee mugs walk out the door. But 3 bottles of maple syrup were purchased.
First request in a long time for toothpaste.

We get the sample sizes from the dentist, along with toothbrushes. I've got a stack of them. I did buy kits for $1 at the dollar store but have never had to hand one over. Looks like I'm all out of the travel toothpastes now.

I seem to get run's on things - lots of honey toasted muslie sold so ordered more (in nice packets as we use catering tubs which are REALLY ugly) and then none sold.
-what I call emergency items we sell but at a low cost - maybe 40 cents after tax but it all adds up id estimate between soft drinks, jam, cookies (to go), hand cream, hand wash, ketchup, brown sauce, bottled water, local honey, all adds up and goes into the renovation budget.

I'd hate to be a kid in YOUR neighborhood!

We never get any trick or treaters here, but we used to go to trunk or treat or group "safe" events when the kids were smaller, and I always gave out the small shampoos and conditioners and would have every little girl race over to get them, since then I have always handed out something other than candy and it is a big hit. Not toothpaste, though, but I would if I had some to hand out, it would go with the toothbrushes the dentist always hands out!
