Why is a post from Feb 14 showing up next to my current posts and why another one from Feb 9 has photos all over the place? It is supposed to be using all the space available for the posts (I was going to make the photos large but unless it is medium it looks like it sucked a persimmon). UGH!! If anyone knows how to fix it, please do!

It seems like Feb has an issue. Pick one of those offending posts, go into it and save it again. See if that puts everything right. Don't change the date, just hit Publish (if it's blogger).

It is WP and it only offered Update, which I tried. Same display.
I wonder what would happen if I deleted on or both

OK, then go in and try to change the date on it so it thinks it's a new post. Set it for today. If it still fails there may be some slight coding problem that got picked up with an update to WP. If it still doesn't work then copy the text, run it thru 'notebook' or something to get rid of any formatting, start a new post and paste the text back in.
So, 2 options there. I'm going back to bed. If it still fails I'll be back in the morning.

There is nothing wrong with the dates. One of your recent posts (whichever one you saved right before it all went kerblooey) has some malformed html and has an opening tag but no closing tag, or a closing tag but no opening tag and it is destroying the structure of your page.
If you are not sure which one it is, start with your most recent, and unpublish it. if the thing still looks broken, then unpublish the next. WIthin a few, your blog should return to normal.

Now I AM confused because it is back to normal with the other posts. recently. I deleter a few but they kept bouncing up the next one. Will get back to you on it.
Update: Thank you - thank you. Back to normal. It was the Buy Local post for some reason. I deleted it. I had hoped to get the blog page to be at least 2 columns wide (sad thig is that the posts that were coming up the side were the size I was hoping to have but now am back to normal at least with a one "column" size. Loved the size of the pictures it gave me. but the blog did not look good with the new posts with smaller photos as one column and the old posts 2-column with big photos.. Thanks Swirt & Maddie.
