... Search my website for a word? I just changed a room name and am trying to make sure I have found every iteration of it on the site.
In WordPress or other means.

This is where I miss Microsoft FrontPage that I used for building websites years ago. It had a search and replace function (Ctrl+H) with an "all pages" option. It would search your whole site for a word or phrase and, optionally, replace it with a new word/phrase. So nice!

The problem comes when the searched word is a link to a page. The link will then be broken. So you need to be sure all the links to the former page are changed.

I wouldn't search and replace. Just search. Then go and replace. I've tested the links and it looks like I found them all.
If I didn't someone will call all confused!
The really confusing part will be guests checking in to a 'different' room.

I am like you, I can't do replaces they make me noivus. Be sure to call it "formerly the so and so room" for a while...that is what I would do.

When noivus, do a replace that stops at each one and lets you chose to replace or not, vs. a replace that does all instances automatically.
And don't click Save until you are confident it's all good.

In google type the following (replace the address with yours, replace 'search every word' with the word(s) you want to search for. This will hit every page of your site that is indexed.

Thanks! Looks like I got all of the pages. Also tells me google hasn't crawled the site yet for the new info.
