Sorry, I have to tell someone... guest left their battery operated toy on the nightstand. I'm giggling like a 12 year old. Now, can I look at them tomorrow with a straight face? I'm not sure!

And here I am, telling my guests for years, "I do not enter the room without letting you know first, so you do not have to hide your sex toys." And I thought I was being funny (so did my guests - I think). Maybe not?

Twice in the last 8 years. The last time was worse... they left it on the floor. So it had to be picked up to clean! Ewww...

Welcome to my world

I laughed so hard when our 18 year old housekeeper came running out of the room squealing, "Eeeeeewwwwww!" She had found some skivvies in the bed. LOL

Did I forget to mention they came down in bathrobes this morning?

my neighbour vacumed them up once when the pants were left on the floor (of the dental floss variety) she rang me in a panic as to how to get them back out!

Really, how thoughtless to leave something like that out. Did they/he/she not know someone would be tidying up the room?

We get the comment about 'how nice, you tidied the room!' often enough that I think it's possibly not standard to tidy in a b&b.

Some people do it on purpose because well … they are crude. Had guests a couple years ago that said they would like the bathroom tied and needed new towels. They had made the bed and then laid all of their toys out down the center of the comforter (sort of like they were laying everything out like in an operating room on a tray ready to go). They knew we were going in, they just did it for the shock factor.

it is definately standard in the UK - if you are in a rating system which most came up in it is required every day even for the most basic place - mainly I think people just don't think about it.

not being funny but if they think that shocks they have a sad life - short of walking in to find someone in full gimp and needing a lock smith I wouldn't even turn a hair. Just find that very childish (with 20 odd years behind me) there is not a lot i havn't seen so if they think that's new and different it aint!
