    Same here. All reservations are paid in full (99.9%) prior to check-in. We have 13 rooms and the easier check in is the better.

    We are also setting up an air B&B in an out building for Guests with Pets. It Should help some. We are Animal lovers but simply do not think pets fit well in the Inn. We want to be able to serve everyone equally and politely. J

    It Happens! When it is a true Service Dog it is "Our Pleasure" to make them all comfortable. I am not fond of Guests with emotional support animals, as our experiences with them is the owner is usually trying to put one over. ??? Whatever, this is why it's called the Hospitality Industry. LOL

    We try an interact during check as much as possible in to give them direction and history of the property - Dinner recommendations - best places to visit etc... then we a discuss breakfast - times - allergies etc.. Once they are warmed up and comfortable information flows easier and Guests open...

    Same here! When it's ham Egg and Cheese - with Ham - No meat - no cheese etc... could end up scrambled egg or egg whites - Same items with options. And People love our breakfasts also - special diet - no problem but need to know in advance. Pre-Covid we provided English Muffins, bagels etc...

    Some B&B's and Inn's have a separate Innkeeper quarters. Here at the Oak Valley inn - my wife and I have a 3 room and full bath apartment outside of the kitchen. We have had dinner parties and catered for special events. It's fun to share meals with Guests especially when they become friends...
