    Best of times/worst of times?

    Best July ever here as well. Guests are fine - some more extended stays (it's nice to get to know the guests). Has anyone noticed major price increases in the industry? We have kept our pricing the same so far! I find it difficult to offer the better experience and receive $100+ per night less...

    Booking direct is always priced best!! Adding commission costs at a minimum to the OTA's is a good idea. Helps promote Guests reserving from you. We always take note of Guests from OTA"s an we CONVERT them to order from us personally on return visits. Works great!

    Marketing, names, how much does it make a difference?

    When we took over we Added and Suites to the name. % rooms are suites with fireplaces - jetted tubs etc... Not sure if it made any difference., but it describes our Inn better??
