    I charge $25 per extra guest per night. We absolutely do NOT do a roll away... too much work. And we have been putting in more and more limits to the number of guests. We could do 4 in some rooms... we capped it at 3.

    I run RK. We process manually because it's cheaper. But for OTAs, we use Square to process misc extra charges. Works easily. We process with Elavon. No one has Interac, which is the Canadian Debit card system.... our prefered method... I mean it's under 10c a transaction... whats not to love!

    I would have asked about the efficiency of the old versus a new. We changed from a 45% efficient system to a 96.5% efficient system and it more than cut the bill in half. Which saved us about $2K a year or more, depending on the year.

    Cash taken for future stays are essentially "escrow" money and owed by the current owners to you or can be deducted at sale. I assume, they could deduct the 3% for CC. They also have to give you all the GC money, unless they have deposited with the government.
