    Took me long enough to figure this one out

    Hope you're charging a single night surcharge. I add $9 extra for a one night stay. Not gonna get rich on that, but nobody complains, and over a year it adds up to hundreds. A nice tip I make them give me to cover the trouble/expense of dealing with them for just one night.

    For years, I've immediately hung out the Do Not Disturb sign when I arrive at a hotel room. I don't need them or want them in there! If I need something, I'll let them know. Some leave a plastic bag on the door knob occasionally with more coffee and other supplies. That's nice.
